This week we have been privileged enough to supply various scaffolds at Hardwick Hall near Chesterfield.

Our client is National Trust and it has been a real pleasure working with their team of experts, through management and Master Stonemasons alike.

From the courtyard below the scaffold rises from a system of heavy duty scaffold beams which have been used to span the fragile roof below.

The scaffold you see with the blue debris netting is a lifting framework and it has been specifically designed. Atop you will notice a steel beam projecting out from the scaffold structure. This is where the stone is lifted from the courtyard below. Once at the top the stone can be traversed along the beam by means of a running pulley.

On top of the roof we have erected scaffold for a number of turrets and chimney stacks. These are being carefully renovated with old crumbling stones being replaced for new.
